This is not a replacement for team wikis or Slack search. Keep runbooks in Notion; use Ask for research corpus questions.
Scope — household, not org
Workspace Ask respects household boundaries:

A household is a shared billing and data boundary on lattuce.app — typically a lab, family, or research group — not an enterprise directory with thousands of seats.
What Ask can retrieve
Typical questions Workspace Ask answers well:
- “What did I write about ethics across notes and papers?”
- “Which sources mention sample size in this collection?”
- “Summarise my methodology note and link to attached PDFs.”
- “What meetings this week relate to the thesis deadline?”
Answers should show which notes or sources grounded the reply. If you use MCP from Cursor or Claude, the same scope applies via ask_workspace — see MCP guide.
What is deferred
Lattuce does not chase Fabric-class integration hubs:
- No default index of email, Slack, or Jira for Ask
- No “search the entire company” marketing
- No org-wide permission model like Notion Enterprise
If you need team runbooks beside research, use Notion for wiki, Lattuce for corpus — Using Lattuce alongside Notion.
Compose integration
From Compose or Write:
- Open Ask (workspace or section scope).
- Pose a question grounded in attached sources and vault context.
- Review the proposed answer and cite chips.
- Insert or Add to compose when the text is accurate.
Treat suggestions like any AI draft — verify claims against attached PDFs before you approve a section for export.
