Source Digest turns your reading into reviewable artifacts — audio script, tables, mind maps, flashcards, and export packs — without sending your corpus to a hosted answer engine you do not control.
It is the Study leg of the research stack: quick understanding on your account at lattuce.app, with a path into Writer when you need cited prose.

Digest runs as a background job. You can leave Study and return when the job completes.

Start a digest from any of these surfaces:
- Library — select ready sources → Digest this collection, or import via YouTube, web URL, or paste notes
- Study hub — open a course or collection → digest actions on the materials pane
- Paper workspace — digest attached sources before you compose a section

Sources must be ready (text extracted). Scanned PDFs without OCR may produce thin results.
SLA and stats
Digest jobs report duration and artifact counts when complete. Large collections take longer — plan for minutes, not seconds.

Getting started
- Sign in at lattuce.app.
- Upload PDFs to Library; wait for ready.
- Open Study or attach sources to a paper.
- Run Digest this collection (full preset dialog or one-click studio buttons per artifact kind).
- Review outputs; move insights to whiteboards or Writer when you draft.
Optional: add your own AI provider keys in settings for faster or higher-quality digest scripts.
