What “shared” means on a household

You do not merge everyone into one anonymous flashcard pile. A parent can import a Malay article; a learner in the household can open that lesson, tap words, and review. The household holds the texts and the quota. Vocabulary still records how well you know each word.

That is the same reading loop as bilingual households — without talking about installs or operator setup.

Invite the household, then open Lingo

1. Sign in at lattuce.app.
2. Invite family from household settings (email they already use for Google sign-in, when that is how your household signs in).
3. Each person opens Learn or lingo.lattuce.app.
4. Confirm they land on the same household — not a second, empty account.

A family reading path

1. Import one text the household agrees on — a short Malay news piece, a graded reader, or a pasted passage (import guide).
2. Open it in Read. Younger learners tap unknown words; a parent can sit with the same article on their own session.
3. Save words to Vocabulary. Use Strand → Link → Lattice so “almost known” stays visible (Strands, Links, and Lattice).
4. Open Review when cards are due. A ten-minute pass beats a weekend cram.
5. Repeat with the next article. Household quota is shared, so one person’s imports count for everyone — keep the shelf intentional.

Optional: a teacher-style household can publish a lesson to the community library for a class. Family study does not require that. Private shelf is enough.
